LocalSets ATX Reid Austin Music Producer Podcast Host Pride V Pack

LocalSets ATX Reid

It’s been the kind of life where most people say, “Wait… what?”

Reid began his career as a child actor in Chicago, earning his SAG card at thirteen and working across film, theater, and improv before moving to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue acting. Two days later, the world changed. Following 9/11, he joined the United States Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq with RCT-5, serving in Gun One—the first HUMVEE across the border into the Rumaila Oil Fields.

After his service, Reid explored everything from culinary school to working as a private chef before ultimately returning to storytelling. He co-founded Two Ties Productions and produced the feature film Thank You 5, now streaming on Amazon.

In the wake of the pandemic, Reid relocated to Austin and founded Local Sets ATX—a live music show and podcast built to give emerging artists a platform to be seen and heard.

After decades of chasing his own creative path, Reid now focuses on creating opportunities for others. At the end of the day, he’s the one making sure the lights are on, the mics are hot, and the room feels like the coolest spot in Austin.
